Iraj
Gharib manages the Firm’s Middle Eastern operations. He is a professor
of law for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, teaching international arbitration
and negotiation to senior diplomats of twelve countries. He is bilingual
and bi-cultural, having lived for over thirty-five years in the United
States prior to returning to Iran in 1993. Mr. Gharib attended the
United States Air Force Academy as a foreign student and went through
pilot training at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. He also
holds degrees from Phillips University and was awarded a Doctor of
Jurispruduce, with honors, by LaSalle University. While a resident
of Oklahoma, Mr. Gharib distinguished himself as a successful real
estate developer and founder of one of the largest building maintenance
companies in the state. He was named Man of the Year in Oklahoma for
1985. He also served as President of the Enid, Oklahoma, Lions Club
and YMCA, member of the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce,
and First Vice President of the Air Force Association.
